Jack Weber has been an enthusiastic student of hatha yoga for 20 years. After eight years of a daily practice of Ashtanga and study with local and nationally known teachers, Jack was captivated by the elegance, joy and celebration of individual differences in Anusara when he met founder John Friend in six years ago. Since that time, Jack has accumulated over 200 hours of teacher training with John, and an additional 300 hours with senior Anusara teachers including Todd Norian, Suzie Hurley, & Desiree Rumbaugh. Jack was designated an Anusara-inspired yoga teacher™ by John in 2006 and is registered with the Yoga Alliance® as a certified hatha yoga teacher.
While completing his Ph.D. at the University of California at Berkeley, Jack began practicing meditation, and has studied with meditation masters including Sri Satchadanana (mantra), Shinzen Young (Zen & Vipassana), Thich Nhat Hahn and Tenzin Wagnal Rinpoche (Buddhist) and Jon Kabat-Zinn (mindfulness.) He has taught meditation as a part of his graduate courses at Berkeley, Dartmouth, and the University of Virginia, where he a Professor Emeritus.
Jack is known for his clarity of instruction and as a passionate teacher who is dedicated to honoring the unique abilities and limitations of each student.
